✦ basic info ✦
✦ digital medium only! all files are .png images; no physical items will be shipped
✦ portraits are 3000px square by default, or in portrait / landscape formats varying from 2600px to 3850px (this is mostly up to my discretion with the composition, but feel free to say if you have a preference!)
✦ icons are always 1000x1000px. doodles are always 1000x1000px. pagedolls have a minimum width/height of 1000px.

✦ NEW COMPOSITION TYPE: full-body!! all suitable options now have full-body replacing knee-up :3c changed nomenclature there too, it should be more accurate to how i go about portraits!

you send me a character and, if you wish, a few defining traits, some lore and/or a general mood you'd like to see — and i'll interpret it all into a neat portrait for you!! it's supposed to be experimental, so it might be more illustrative and abstract than usual, and you sorta just... let me run free :D

portrait composition may vary freely between bust and full-body, the price difference relates to style and / or level of detail instead!

lineart is colored but messy, or non-existent, or anything in between

possibly wild color schemes and textures and lighting / shading

drawn with different brushes/techniques that may be inconsistent between each commissioned piece (blocky, rough brushes vs softer and rounded brushes vs rough and pencil-esque brushes and so on! the possibilities are quite endless)

backgrounds are by default simple, with gradients or patterns or textures, but i will draw backgrounds for the usual fees if requested (more info on backgrounds [down below]), or, even if *not* requested, i may be inclined to include it perhaps of my own volition, which would then be entirely on the house. :3c

differently than the other options, once the sketch for an experimental portrait has been greenlit, i'll only send another update with a WIP screenshot once the piece is nearly all finished.

to go with the above, there are also no revision updates throughout the process for this option either,

and the portrait may not look exactly like the sketch in regards of color or lighting or contrast, etc., as i may change elements along the process

that all being said, a last-minute revision edit round for small details will be offered before finalization!

as with other options, each change that requires me to redraw a sizeable or particularly detailed part of the illustration may incur a fee of $8 to $12 USD, depending on how complex the change is or how much of the piece must be redrawn.
requesting the piece be redone from scratch once the sketch has already been approved increases the original price by 60 to 80%.

if a presented sketch is entirely unsalvageable (as in, no amount of editing would result in it being greenlit) and you'd like me to create a new sketch from scratch, i can do so for a fee of 35% of the order's original baseprice. more on these extra fees [below] or at the [rules & ordering] page.

lastly, although i'll follow the character's reference and info to the best of my abilities, experimental portraits are meant to be more free-handed and/or abstract than usual — so if you are looking for a piece with more specific requirements in terms of composition, pose, color palette, lighting, mood, etc., please consider the other commission options instead!

fees are all discussed before being issued, and are charged through either an extra invoice (for orders paid upfront) or added to the last invoice (for orders with split payment) — exception for the "new sketch from scratch" fee, that once agreed upon will be sent, and then i'll get started on the new sketch once it's paid.
